What is Indian Head Massage?
Indian Head Massage is a treatment which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. In Indian traditions, the belief is that massage preserves the body's life force and energy, and is the most powerful way of rejuvinating the body. The Indian Head Massage techniques practiced today have evolved from the rituals of Indian family grooming passed on through family generations. It is no longer confined only to the head area but includes other parts of the body vulnerable to stress, such as the shoulders, upper arms and neck and has thus become more of a stress management treatment.
How might Indian Head Massage help me?
Indian Head Massage increases the blood flow to the head, neck and shoulders, nourishing the tissues and encouraging healing. It can assist with the elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products, help relieve muscular tension and fatigue and encourage the body to rest and relax, creating a feeling of balance and calm
How will I feel after an Indian Head Massage?
You will probably have a good night's sleep and have improved concentration, clearer thinking and greater alertness the following day. Occasionally people feel tearful, tired or nauseous as the body cleanses itself of toxins. These reactions are temporary, lasting only until the body's natural balance is restored.
How much does a treatment cost?
The cost is £15 for a 30 minute session. At your first appointment we will have a chat about your health and lifestyle to enable me to tailor the treatment to your requirements. You will therefore need to allow up to an hour for the first session but don't worry - you will still get half an hour of Indian Head massage and there is no charge for the consultation.
If you have to cancel an appointment please give 24 hours notice or a cancellation charge may apply.
