Reflexology, Maternity Reflexology and Indian Head Massage
Hello and welcome to my website.
I am a complementary therapist with over 10 years experience based in Rendlesham, near Woodbridge in Suffolk providing reflexology, maternity reflexology and Indian Head Massage in the Rendlesham, Woodbridge, Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk.
How can I help?
Stress is a part of everyday living and no two people respond to it in the same way. It cannot be avoided or "cured", it has to be managed. It can lead to distress or disease if we do not recognise its onset and find coping mechanisms.
I believe that with increasing levels of stress in everyday life it is important for people to recognise the detrimental effect this can have and to take action to address their own healthcare needs.
For relaxation or relief of stress, some people drink large quantities of alcohol or smoke cigarettes. These are stimulants and provide only artificial relief. It is much better to try more natural methods of coping. This may include taking gentle regular exercise, doing something creative like taking an art class or joining a choir, eating healthily and meditation or breathing exercises.
Whilst they should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice, exploring complementary therapies such as reflexology and Indian Head Massage could be another way you might employ to ease the stresses of modern life.
If ignored and allowed to build up stress can lead to conditions such as:
As a holistic practitioner I acknowledge that every person is a unique individual and I aim to support you as a whole person and assist you to optimise your wellbeing.
I qualified as a reflexologist in 2002 and am a member of the Association of Reflexologists. I am trained in pregnancy reflexology techniques and hold a Certificate of Competency in Maternity Reflexology from the Maternity Reflexology Consortium. I am an affiliate member of the Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT) Network, having received authorised VRT tuition.
I am registered for reflexology with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). This body was established with government support to regulate certain complementary therapies. The Department of Health recommends that where CNHC registers the complementary therapists in question, you consult with someone who is CNHC registered.
I hold a VTCT Diploma in Indian Head Massage.
